Buy the Vista for its pram architecture, not just because a car seat can click onto it. Its strongest advantage is the route from a premium single to two seated children — and potentially a third child on the PiggyBack board — with the relevant accessories.
One of the strongest premium choices when a second child is genuinely part of the plan.
The UPPAbaby Vista V3 is a substantial full-size pushchair built around family growth: included carrycot, 22kg toddler seat, 13.6kg basket, one-step standing fold and more than 30 stated configurations. It is much easier to justify when you expect to use those strengths than when you simply want a premium single pram.

UPPAbaby’s own figures make the trade-off clear: a big-capacity, expandable family system rather than a lightweight single.
UPPAbaby lists the Vista V3 frame and toddler seat at 12.5kg, with the frame alone at 9kg and the seat at 3.5kg. The carrycot weighs 4kg and is suitable from birth to 9kg.
Open dimensions are 92.7 × 65.3 × 100.3cm. Folded with the seat attached, UPPAbaby lists 41.4 × 65.3 × 85.9cm; without the seat it is 28.7 × 65.3 × 81.9cm.
The headline everyday number is arguably the basket: 13.6kg. That is unusually generous and makes the Vista particularly useful as the family’s main pushchair when it is carrying shopping, coats and sibling kit as well as the changing bag.
The included carrycot is a real part of the proposition
Vista V3 is not asking you to make the toddler seat pretend to be a newborn solution.
The current Vista V3 includes a dedicated carrycot with a foam-free air-mesh mattress, cross-ventilation panels and a vented base. UPPAbaby lists it from birth to 9kg and describes it as suitable as an overnight sleep solution when used according to the instructions.
That matters if the pushchair will be the main newborn pram. The carrycot has value beyond occasional car-to-pram transfers, and it gives the Vista a complete from-birth setup before the toddler seat becomes appropriate at around six months.
Family growth is where the Vista V3 earns its premium
A RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board turn the chassis into a system rather than just a large single pushchair.
UPPAbaby states that the Vista V3 offers more than 30 configurations and can transport up to three children with the relevant accessories. Double mode can combine two infant car seats, two carrycots, the toddler seat and RumbleSeat, or mixed configurations.
The crucial caveat is that expansion is not free or configuration-neutral. The RumbleSeat V3 is a separate purchase and has its own lower child limit. Before buying for a hypothetical future sibling, check the exact age gap and configuration you are likely to use rather than assuming every seat can occupy every position to 22kg.
The PiggyBack board gives a useful third route for an older child who no longer needs a full seat on every outing, and UPPAbaby states the pushchair can fold with it attached.
A smooth full-size ride with a huge practical basket
The V3’s FlexRide suspension and never-flat tyres make it a capable main pushchair, even though the Fox 5 Renew is the more ride-specialised single.
UPPAbaby pairs never-flat tyres with enhanced FlexRide suspension designed to work whether the Vista is carrying one, two or three children. The toddler seat is reversible, reclinable and includes the All-Weather Comfort setup with a seasonal liner that can be removed to expose mesh for warmer conditions.
The Vista’s strongest everyday differentiator is less glamorous: storage. A 13.6kg basket is enough to change how often a separate shopping bag or backpack is needed, particularly once a sibling enters the picture.
The fold is simple; the package is not small
One-step folding removes faff, but it cannot remove the underlying width and weight of an expandable full-size chassis.
The Vista folds in one step, stands when folded and can be folded with or without the toddler seat attached. That makes storage easier than the dimensions alone suggest.
The limiting factor is still physical scale. If the pushchair will be lifted into a high boot several times a day, test that routine rather than judging the Vista on showroom manoeuvrability. A chassis designed to carry two seated children is inevitably a different ownership proposition from a compact single.
Travel-system compatibility is useful, but not the main event
Build the car-seat choice around vehicle fit, then treat pushchair attachment as a convenience layer.
The Vista V3 is designed for infant-carrier use and UPPAbaby’s ecosystem makes same-brand connections particularly straightforward. Selected third-party infant carriers can also be used with the correct UPPAbaby adapters, which gives families more freedom if another car seat fits the vehicle better.
Do not let the possibility of a direct click-on connection drive the whole purchase. The infant-carrier stage is temporary; the Vista’s basket, full-size seat, fold and sibling architecture are the features that will define ownership for much longer.
Excellent for a growing family; merely very good if you only need a single.
The Vista V3 is easiest to recommend when its expansion is not theoretical. The large basket, carrycot, 22kg seat and polished fold are all good in single mode, but the reason to accept its size and premium is the ability to build a second-child setup without replacing the chassis.
If you know you will stay with one seated child and expect lots of long walks over mixed ground, compare it with the Bugaboo Fox 5 Renew before buying. If sibling flexibility matters, the Vista moves to the front of the shortlist.
